Louis Reith is an artist with a truly amazing understanding of the beauty in simplicity and in geometry. For more on Reith check out his website, Flickr, and Little Paper Planes page. (Via Cold Splinters)
I recently replaced my blaze orange watch strap with a nicer calf skin leather one from Tech Swiss. Looks good and was a great anniversary present from my girlfriend.
Boy's Life, the magazine of the Boy Scouts of America, has been around since 1911. You can view all of the issues online at boyslife.org/wayback from past and present. Be careful, this one's a daywrecker and will have you sucked in for hours browsing old kodachrome camping pictures and reading stories. Reminds me of the vintage issues of Backpacker that you can read online, some amazing stuff there too.
With bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Drive-By Truckers, and The Black Keys all writing and recording music in one place you know it must be special. Oxford American takes a closer look at the Muscle Shoals Recording Studio in the latest of their series SoLost. Check out all the other episodes, William Eggleston Plays the Piano is one of my favorites.
I claim none of this art except this first print. I made it for a competition held by Mogwai on their fan website Brightlight. Won second place and a free EP, so I was pretty happy.
